The La Fayette Fire Dept. Inc.  has been serving the Town of La Fayette, NY since 1945.  The La Fayette Fire Dept. Inc. serves approximately 5,000 residents in 39 square miles. Our fire district includes residential, commercial, and agricultural zones and cover 8 miles of Interstate 81. We are 100% volunteer operating out of two stations with approximately 50 volunteers. The department answers an average of 500 calls for service a year. Our Advanced Life Support Ambulance is supplimented with Part-Time paid medics 24 hours a day.
