Welcome to the LaFayette Fire Department Inc! Our department has been serving the residents and guests within the Town of LaFayette since 1945. We protect roughly 5,000 residents in 39 square miles, located just south of the City of Syracuse in Onondaga County, NY. Our district is very diverse, including a large mix of residential, agricultural, commercial, garden apartments, rail lines, and 8 miles of Interstate 81. We are 100% volunteer, with about 30 members staffing 2 fire stations. Our volunteers respond to over 200 calls for service every year.
